A sourced archive for the questions women carry
Matria is an iOS app that answers lived questions, why do I feel guilty when I rest, who am I when no one needs me, from a sourced archive of 242 documented women, ideas, myths and traditions. Every answer names the real women behind it and opens their sources. Nothing is invented: no fabricated quotes, no generated voices, and when the archive has nothing, it says so.
While the app stores fill with software that makes things up, Matria is an archive that refuses to: ask a real question, meet the women who carried it before you, and open their sources.

Matria was built solo, from first commit to App Store submission, by Luana Micheau, a product designer working in femtech. The premise: women's hardest questions already have ancestors, and an app can keep company with a question instead of pretending to resolve it. The corpus is researched and cited entry by entry; unclear quotes are rejected rather than repeated (the famous line attributed to Hypatia, a 1908 fabrication, is not in the archive; her honest entry is).

Matria is a sourced archive for the questions women carry. Readers ask a lived question and Matria answers from an archive of 242 documented women, ideas, myths and traditions, with every claim carrying a named source and honest gaps where the record is thin.
